Regeneration of the National Botanical Garden of Wales
Introduction:
As part of a multidisciplinary team, including archaeologists, designers and civil engineers, ESP are assisting in the geotechnical design, through review of historical reports, assessment of slope stability and the sourcing of site won Glacial materials for use in the scheme.

ESP are currently appointed as specialist geotechnical advisors for the regeneration of the National Botanical Garden of Wales. The regeneration is a £6.7 million, large scale civil engineering project that includes the repair and reconstruction of a number of historic dams, the restoration and refilling of historic reservoirs and the construction of new and repair of existing footbridges.
The regeneration seeks to restore selected areas of the gardens to how they appeared in the 1800s utilising archive drawings stored at the gardens and paintings completed by James Horner in the early 1800s.
