Sea Caves at Southerndown

Sea Caves at Southerndown

Exposed along this stretch of South Wales coast is a sequence of Carboniferous Limestone, Triassic and Jurassic rocks.

A number of sea-caves persist and in some places the voids express themselves at the surface some distance from the cliff, and relatively close to the coast path. The photograph was taken whilst out and about with our colleagues at Gatekeeper Photography (@gk_photo): Sea Cave at Surface!
