Giles Sommerwill qualifies as a Registered Ground Engineering Specialist

Giles Sommerwill, Director at ESP (profile), has successfully qualified as a UK Register of Ground Engineering Professionals Specialist.

Giles is now part of a unique list of geo-practitioners that have been selected through means of qualification, training, experience and competence requirements set out by the Geological Society, the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (see: http://www.ice.org.uk/qualification-careers/Professional-Registers/UK-Professional-Registers/UK-RoGEP).

ROGEP recognises Giles’ skills in design, management and authorisation of assessments in a range of geological environments and he is able to act as a technical mentor to other ground engineering professionals. ESP director Matthew Eynon is also a ROGEP Specialist, whilst Dr Mark O’Neill and Jeremy Hucker are both qualified as ROGEP Advisers.
