ESP Guest Speakers at Wellbeing Economy Alliance for Wales

We were delighted to recently be invited to speak at the Wellbeing Alliance for Wales conference, chaired by Dawn Lyle, Director at 4 The Region.

The Wellbeing Economy Alliance Cymru is an alliance of people and organisations who are striving for a new and better economy for Wales – one that serves the wellbeing of our people and our planet, rather than one based on the obsessive pursuit of “growth” at any cost. They want to make new ways of living and working, and new ways of organising our society and our economy, more visible, more accessible and more relevant to all those who live here. Because economic system change will involve us all, they believe that we all have a vital part to play.

Matthew Eynon, Director at ESP, joined members of the alliance which included owners from other Welsh businesses and representatives from Swansea and Pembrokeshire County Councils.  He discussed our gold standard accreditation and move to  4 day working week employers and shared the measures that ESP as a company put at the forefront for wellbeing in the workplace. Matthew gave advice on what other employers can do to promote the wellbeing of their people and the environment, such as provide more flexible, efficient working arrangements, as well as discussing the company’s strategy in implementing these changes.

The group discussed wellbeing goals, what it means to create a wellbeing economy and how employers can strive to achieve wellbeing in the workplace.

It was a pleasure to be involved in this event and we look forward to continuing to work with 4 The Region and The Wellbeing Economy Alliance Cymru towards a better economy for Wales.
