Our planet is very close to our hearts here at ESP, it’s a big part of what we do. This year’s ‘Earth Day’, organised by earthday.org focuses on the theme ‘Restore Our Earth’ and aims to raise awareness and encourage positive global action. Earthday.org works in countries throughout the world to drive meaningful action for our planet across a range of areas; climate action, science and education, people and communities, conservation and restoration and plastic and pollution.
The event sees three days of climate action and awareness across the globe; world climate leaders, grassroots activists, non profit innovators, thought leaders, industry leaders, artists, musicians, influencers, and the leaders of tomorrow come together to push us towards a better world.
The event includes workshops, panel discussions, and special performances and will focus on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. Further topics and discussion will include:
- Climate and environmental literacy
- Climate restoration technologies
- Reforestation efforts
- Regenerative agriculture
- Equity and environmental justice
- Citizen science
Here at ESP, as a company we continually strive to be more sustainable and aware of our own impact on the planet. In recent years we have introduced blended working to enable all of our staff to work more efficiently from home, office and on site. Our head office premises have also been fitted with solar panels, as well as the introduction of several electric vehicles, thus reducing our carbon footprint as individuals and as a company.
Last year we had the pleasure of sponsoring World Land Trust, planting 100 trees and securing 5 acres of land to protect our planet’s vital rainforests. You can read more about how as a company we have worked towards a more sustainable future on our website here.
We look forward to participating in Earth Day 2021. More information about the event, which runs from 20th-22nd April, can be found here.
